What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon, which is about Paige Mahone, a rare type of clairvoyant who, in the world of Scion, commits treason simply by breathing. So far it’s quite good, though I think I’ve found the inevitable romance plot now. I found out about this book through Carrie Hope Fletcher (a.k.a. ItsWayPastMyBedTime) and her passion for it made me want to read it.

What did you recently finish reading?

Technically I haven’t really finished reading One Day by David Nicholls, but I did stop reading it due to the fact I spoiled the plot for myself. And I got bored. And I got new books which I wanted to read really badly.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Even though I said I would be reading a completely different book next, I bought Girl in the Dark: A Memoir by Anna Lyndsey and now I need to read it. It’s about the author Anna Lyndsey who suffers a condition where she’s extremely sensitive to light and must live her life quite literally in the dark. It sounds like an inspiring story, and it has also been described as ‘humorous’ which makes it sound even more interesting.
