QUESTIONS ASKED

What inspired you to start blogging?

When I went to YALC in 2014 and I met some amazing authors there, and I realised I wanted to talk about my experience there. YALC also reminded me of my love of books, and showed me a community I never knew existed. So I decided to give it a go, and here I am now!

Which of your posts is your favourite so far? Link!

Oh God… I have no clue what my favourite post is so far. It’s probably a review one because those are the hardest for me, and they are the posts I put the most into.

What is your favourite snack for when you are reading?

Probably biscuits or chocolate. I love biscuits.

Who is your favourite fictional character? Why?

I don’t have a favourite, so I’ll just name one of my favourites, and that is Luna Lovegood. She is such a unique character who is both incredibly sweet and incredibly smart, and she is not afraid to be herself.

Have you ever read a book just because you liked the cover? What was it?

No actually. If I see a book with a pretty cover I will look at what it’s about, but if I don’t like the sound of the blurb then I will put it down, no matter what the cover is like.

What is your dream job and why?

Definitely author. I’ve always liked writing, not matter what sort of writing it is, and I have always dreamed of having my own book(s) that I wrote. I currently have somethings I am working on, but I have been either too busy or feeling too off to write recently. It also requires a certain level of research since it is science fiction (typical me). But anyway, author is definitely my dream job. I also love the idea of working from home, which would definitely help with my mental health.

Do you prefer hardcover, soft cover, or e-books?

Hardcover. While paperbacks are generally easier to read, I have trouble keeping them looking nice. I also love the feel of reading hardcover books, so definitely hardcover.

What’s the most delicious meal you have ever eaten? And where were you?

This is just the first one that comes to mind, but one of my favourite meals is always when I go back to my parents and we have a Sunday roast with roast potatoes, parsnips, veggies, Yorkshire puddings, and loads of gravy. God, I want that now!

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a teacher, a marine biologist (I’m afraid of water), a ballerina, an artist, an art therapist, a writer, a journalist, a environmentalist, and probably several others I’ve forgotten about. I think writer is the only one that has ever stuck.

Describe your hometown in 3 words.

I’ve moved a lot so I don’t really have a proper hometown. I’ll just describe the town I lived in the longest: small, dull, and boring.

    1. I’d definitely pick Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. Who doesn’t want a dragon? And I like biscuits that are good to dunk in tea, so Hob Nobs, Rich Tea, custard creams, and chocolate digestives are my favourites.
