January Book Haul 2016

Espresso Shot

I GOT BOOKS! WOO! I have read several of these before this haul was posted, but only because a lot of these were delivered/acquired separately, but I haven’t reviewed any of these yet. The books will be in lists organised by where I got them from.

Instead of adding the Goodreads synopsis for each book like I normally do, I’m going to add my own synopsis which is shorter. If you want to check out the actual synopsis then you can just click on the book title to go to it.

Amazon

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson

My Synopsis: This is a graphic novel about super villains, superheroes, and hilarious characters, and it’s all set in a medieval-like time where there is no spandex.

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

My Synopsis: This has dragons. Enough said.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

My Synopsis: A girl is imprisoned because she kills whoever she touches, and there’s a war or something going on.

Saga, Volume 1 by Brian K. Vaughan (Writer) and Fiona Staples (Artist)

My Synopsis: A science fiction graphic novel with aliens, romance, hilarious characters, the weirdest weirdness the weird have ever seen, and crap tons of action.

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

My Synopsis: A Professor of genetics is looking for a wife. Unfortunately his personality is similar to Sheldon Cooper’s from Big Bang Theory, making his ‘Wife Project’ a lot harder. But then he meets Rosie.

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers

My Synopsis: A girl becomes ends up in a convent where the nuns train her to be an assassin that works for Death.

E S T . 1 9 6 1

Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman

My Synopsis: There’s also dragons in this book.

Greatest Inspiration Quotes: 365 Days to More Happiness, Success, and Motivation by Dr. Joe Tichio

My Synopsis: This contains quotes for everyday to help you feel less crap.

from

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

My Synopsis: A fireman has a job where instead of stopping fires, he starts them to burn books and other things that express any sort of creativity or wisdom.

Le Crystal des Elfes bleus by Jean-Luc Istin, Kyko Duarte (artist), Saito (Colorist)

My Synopsis: This is a French graphic novel about crystals and elves? Honestly I only bought this to try and improve my French.

So, what do you think of my buys? I have read six of these already and I enjoyed most of them.

Happy reading!

    1. I just finished Eon and I can definitely see why you love it. It’s amazing! I need the sequel now! 🙂
On a separate note, I’m really tired because I was up reading Eon until 2AM 😉
