The Friday 56

THE FRIDAY 56: May 15th, 2015

Smaller Friday 56

The Friday 56 is a weekly meme hosted by Freda’s Voice, and the rules are pretty simple:

  • Grab a book, any book.
  • Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s OK.)
  • Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it).
  • Post it.
  • Add the url to your post on Freda’s Voice.

I’m just going to apologise about my lack of posts in the past week quickly. I’ve just been feeling sort of crappy and I just couldn’t bring myself to post. I might have to write a post about this sometime soon because I have a feeling this isn’t the last time it’s going to happen, and it’s not something that I can explain easily.

Anyway, the book I chose this week is Cinder by Marissa Meyer, which is one of the books I am currently reading and it’s really good and very unique.

Here’s the quote:

She tried to speak, to tell Peony she would be right behind her. She wouldn’t be alone. But then the android beeped. “Scan complete. No letumosis-carrying pathogens detected. Subject is urged to stand fifty feet back from infected patient.”

I think that quote says quite a lot about the book.

Can you guess what this book is about? Or do you have a Friday 56 post of your own? If so leave your guess or link to your post down below so I can check it out.

Also I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be able to post next Friday because I have comic con then and I usually end up getting home (my friend’s house) in the evening and passing out in the nearest bed. So I’m not entirely sure if I’ll have the time to do it. If I somehow manage to get a post up though it’s a bloody miracle.

Happy Friday!

    1. I felt that way, but after a while I decided to give it a go, and if you like science fiction and fantasy you’ll probably enjoy Cinder.

I’ll be over to check your post out soon 🙂
